Carlos Rangel
Hospital Manager
Carlos began his Veterinary career after working in the human medical field as a Certified Anesthesia Technician for 7 years. He applied for a part-time position working in a Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Torrance, CA. He quickly fell in love working with four-legged patients and transitioned to a full-time position as a Veterinary Assistant and has never looked back ever since. He went on to obtain his Registered Veterinary Technician license thanks to his mentor, Dr Scott Anderson, a Board-Certified Veterinary Surgeon and Board-Certified Critical Care Specialist. He introduced Carlos to the world of orthopedic procedures and Emergency and Critical Care Medicine.

Olivia Vaccaro
Lead Vet Assistant
Olivia is a Santa Barbara native and has been in the veterinary field since she was in her teens. Her love of all creatures great and small shaped her since she was a small child. She always has a house full of dogs and aspires to have a much larger menagerie one day. She is an avid animal rescue advocate and fosters dogs very frequently. In her spare time Olivia loves to adventure outdoors - Hiking, camping, beach days and exploring both on horseback or on foot are always on the agenda. At home Olivia is always cooking or in the garden with her dogs alongside her.

Stephanie Pacheco
Lead Vet Assistant
My name is Stephanie. I was born and raised in Santa Barbara. I began my journey in veterinary medicine in 2017 and have been loving it since. I have worked in various hospital settings from ER, general practice, to specialty medicine. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, yoga, and traveling to different places.

Jamie Weber
Originally from the Bay Area, Jamie graduated from UCSB with a B.S. in Zoology in 2024. They have loved all creatures since childhood, but always had a particular affinity for cats. They started their vet med career in 2022, working in shelter medicine. Though they are passionate about their work with small animals, they hope to pursue work in wildlife rehabilitation and conservation in the future. In their free time, you can find them hiking, cooking, or volunteering at a marine mammal rehabilitation center.

Dr. Addie Crawford
Founder and Veterinarian
Dr. Addie Crawford was born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA. She attended Dos Pueblos High School and went on to get a scholarship to play volleyball at a Division-I school outside of Pittsburgh, PA. From there Dr. Crawford attended Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. While at Cornell she worked as an emergency Student assistant at the hospital’s emergency department. She completed a general rotation internship at Veterinary Specialty Hospital in San Diego before returning home to Santa Barbara. Dr. Crawford spent 5 years working as an emergency veterinarian at Advanced Veterinary Specialists and then traveled all over California working at various other specialty hospitals. She currently lives in Santa Barbara with her husband, cat, and 2 dogs. She also competes as a show jumper on her horse John Rambo.

Dr. Katie Sahyouni
Dr. Katie Sahyouni is a Southern California native. She attended the University of Southern California for her undergraduate training in Biomedical Engineering then went on to obtain her veterinary degree at UC Davis. Shortly after, she completed a rotating internship at Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group in Ventura, then a specialty internship at Animal Surgical and Emergency Center in Los Angeles where she worked exclusively with the Internal Medicine team. She then worked in general practice in Santa Barbara and now is happily part of the team here. She currently lives in Ventura with her husband, son, and her sassy orange cat named Cheesy Puff. In her time outside of work, she enjoys traveling, surfing, hiking, going to USC football games, and taking her baby to the Santa Barbara zoo. She’s looking forward to continuing to serve Santa Barbara’s incredible pet community.

Shaundra Wyatt
Born and raised in California, Shaundra is a lifelong animal lover whose passion for veterinary care began in childhood. With over four years of experience in an emergency veterinary setting, she brings compassion, dedication, and a calm presence to every case she handles.
Shaundra holds a degree in Biology and has completed a Veterinary Technician program. She is currently working toward becoming a licensed veterinary technician. She takes immense pride in treating every patient as if they were her own, ensuring they receive the highest level of care and comfort.
When she's not at work or cuddling with her beloved cats, Kai and Kovu, Shaundra enjoys reading, taking dance classes, and exploring new restaurants as a true foodie.

Yaneli Bravo
Born and raised in Ventura County, Yaneli always knew she wanted to work with animals. She began working in vet med in 2020 at an emergency facility and instantly fell in love with working in an emergency setting. She plans on furthering her career in veterinary medicine to become an RVT. In her free time, she loves going to concerts, trying new food, hanging out with friends and watching movies.

Fada Chaib
Fada was born and raised in Brazil and moved to California in July 2019. Her love for animals began early, inspired by her family’s frequent dog rescues and her experience with horseback riding. In college, she has volunteered at local shelters like BUNS and SB Humane and interned at SBWCN.
She is a fourth-year Biology major on the pre-veterinary track at UCSB. There, she runs the Positive Wave and PVMA clubs, participates in Rho Psi Eta events, and conducts research on octopus.
In her free time, Fada enjoys calling her parents, spending time with friends, listening to audiobooks, trying new sports, and making collages.

Tessa Ramsey
Originally from Kauai, I relocated to Santa Barbara in 2018. I’ve had a lifelong passion for animals as I grew up surrounded by them and would often care for those in need. From injured chickens to stray cats and dogs, that early compassion stayed with me and continues to shape my goals today. I currently have two cats and two dogs who keep me busy and bring a lot of joy to my life. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, going to the beach, and exploring coffee spots. I’m excited to continue my journey toward a career in veterinary medicine and am committed to making a meaningful impact in animal care.

Liz Reyna
Liz, who is originally from Los Angeles recently moved to Santa Barbara has been in the veterinary field for over 8 years. She began her career in a small General Practice limited to preventative and wellness care. She then grew interested in learning more about Internal medicine and Cardiology and began working in a 24-hour Emergency and Specialty hospital. Once she began working there, she quickly fell in love with Emergency Medicine where she gained so much knowledge and got to experience some difficult but rewarding cases. She also works at a Spay/Neuter and vaccine clinic providing access to affordable veterinary services and helps prevent millions of pets from being born into homelessness and helping to cut the euthanasia rate in half at L.A. city shelters. When she is not working she enjoys going to sports games, traveling and spending time with her kids and family.
